He has good number of publications in reputed journals and books including Springer, Scopus-indexed, and UGC CARE listed. Further, he has edited a book titled COVID-19 in Tamil Nadu: Repercussions and the Avenues Ahead. He has carried out a research project, related to urban sanitation, funded by Tamil Nadu State Council for Higher Education (TANSCHE). Apart from that, he has an ongoing major research project on climate change funded by Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR).
